The oldest trail marathon in the United States, the legendary Wild Wild West Marathon and Ultra, has been held for 45 years in the stunning high desert landscape of Lone Pine, California! Join us on October 5, 2024 for a scenic 50-mile, 50km, 26.2-mile or 10-mile trail race that takes runners through the iconic Alabama Hills and foothills of Mount Whitney.
This super scenic point-to-point course follows dirt roads and singletrack trails, passing by sandy washes, spectacular rock formations, and panoramic mountain views. Runners will traverse elevations ranging from 3,800 to 7,000 feet. The event is professionally organized by the Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce and is considered one of America's most beautiful trail races.
Aid stations stocked with water, sports drinks, snacks, and volunteers are located approximately every 4 miles along the course to support runners. The finish line at Tuttle Creek Campground is a festive environment with food, drinks, and live music.
