The Great Orion Nebula Festival is a 4-day astronomy event taking place March 7-10, 2024 in the dark skies of Panamint Valley, California. This is an ideal location for stargazing, away from light pollution, where attendees can look through huge telescopes at nightly celestial objects like the Orion Nebula and distant star clusters.
The festival features daytime solar viewing and nighttime telescope viewing, astronomy lectures and presentations by professional astronomers like Dr. Cameron Hummels, nightscape photography workshops, a food truck, exhibitor booths, giveaways, and camping onsite.
Tickets start at $205 for 4-day general admission. VIP upgrades are available. On-site camping in your own tent/RV is included. The facility has ample open space and scenic desert views but primitive amenities - no water, electricity, or trash service. Bring everything needed for camping.
